Scripture Memory Verse 4

Happy Verse Day (Same tune as Happy Birthday)
Happy Verse Day to us.
Happy Verse Day to us.
Happy Verse Day to us.
Happy Verse Day to us.
And many more...with the help of the Lord.

I am loving learning Psalm 139.  It is so personal and so intimate.  It's my very own love song to the Lord and His to me.  I hope this post finds you overwhelmed with the love of the Lord and grateful for His Word.  It has the power to change our lives and we don't have to be a Bible scholar or seminary student for it to do just that.  Here's my verse for February 15th...

Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. Psalm 139:4

Just this short verse, alone, gives me even more reason to think before I speak.  There's a great verse in Psalms that says, "Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord.  Keep watch over the door of my lips."  Um, yes, please.

I can't wait to hear from you.  What are you memorizing?

  1. I posted three verses from Ephesians on February 1 that I've been working to learn. I fully intended to post the other two from that chapter today. But things have a way of changing......

There is a verse in Isaiah - chapter 30, verse 21 to be exact. It says: Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying "This is the way; walk in it". NIV

A dear friend of mine posted this verse on facebook. She said she prays this over her children daily.

Yes, I shamelessly copied her idea. (Thanks, Cindy!!) I insert my family's names where it says "you" and "yours" in that verse. I even pray this prayer for the new grandchild that's not even here yet! (You can't start too early!)

Anyway, that's my verse for today. I'll get back to Ephesians next month!

  2. Here is my February 15 verse (more of 1st John which I love): "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time." 1 John 2:18 KJV

  4. I am going to memorize the "More than conquerors" passage in Romans. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to hsi purpose." Romans 8:28
